5 years agoBoston Celtics small/power forward Gordon Hayward (knee) will miss the rest of Tuesday’s contest versus the Brooklyn Nets. Hayward, who is hampered by a right knee contusion, compiled seven points on 3-for-8 shooting, also adding two assists across his 17 minutes before exiting. With Jayson Tatum (illness) unavailable and Kemba Walker (knee) on a minutes restriction, the Celtics will have to rely reallocate much of their offense during the second half. There was no clear instance where Hayward injured his knee, with his next chance to get back on the floor coming Wednesday against Cleveland, a contest that he can safely be considered questionable for.--Jesse Borek
