Gorgui Dieng Logs Double-Double, Attempts Season-High 15 Shots

4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng may not remain a fantasy commodity for much longer with All-Star center Karl-Anthony Towns likely to return sooner rather than later, but Dieng again proved Wednesday that he has legitimate fantasy upside when given the chance to log consistent starters minutes. During his 29 minutes in a defeat to the Indiana Pacers, he set a new season high by getting up 15 shots, seven of which found the bottom of the bucket en route to a 15-point showing. Additionally, he snagged 11 rebounds and dished out three assists, marking his sixth double-double of the season, all of which have come during starts. Should Towns remain out when the two teams run it back Friday, Dieng should be in line for a similar level of production.--Jesse Borek
