4 years agoSan Antonio Spurs center Gorgui Dieng (shoulder) has been ruled out for Friday's game versus Denver, missing the second leg of a back-to-back. Dieng has been used sparingly since his acquisition by San Antonio, who has utilized Jakob Poeltl in an increased capacity as the season has worn on. When given minutes, Dieng has proven to be a short-term streamer candidate, but it's difficult to see a path to 20+ minutes per game in the near future. Drew Eubanks stands to snag backup center minutes without Dieng in the mix. His next chance to return comes Sunday against the Mavericks.--Jesse Borek
