5 years agoOklahoma City Thunder shooting guard Hamidou Diallo will miss his first contest of the season Friday against the Philadelphia 76ers due to a left knee sprain. Head coach Billy Donovan noted that the team doesn’t expect Diallo to miss an extended period of time. Diallo started the Thunder’s most recent outing with Terrance Ferguson out of the mix, but the two will swap spots Friday with Diallo in street clothes and Ferguson back among the starting five. The 21-year-old Diallo has carved himself out a niche in Oklahoma City’s second unit, having played north of 20 minutes in each of his team’s past six games. His next chance to return comes Monday versus the Clippers.--Jesse Borek
