4 years agoHarold Varner III will make his fifth start at Mayakoba this week, and he has found a bit of success in the past. He finished fifth in 2016 and sixth in 2019. Varner has two top-15 finishes, a T29, and a missed cut so far this season. Varner should have some wedges into the green on this short course, and he ranks third in approaches from 75 to 100 yards. His accuracy off the tee is a bit concerning, hitting fairways in regulation at a rate just under 60 percent. Varner's ceiling likely is not too high this week but could be a decent value pick based on his low price.--Connor Wege
