5 years agoAfter missing his first contest of the season Saturday, Portland Trail Blazers center Hassan Whiteside is on track to return to the starting five for Monday’s contest versus the Golden State Warriors. Whiteside, who is listed as probable due to a bruised left knee, is averaging 12.8 points and 12.2 rebounds through his first five contests since joining Portland. After deploying a supremely small ball lineup during the team’s defeat versus Philadelphia without Whiteside, expect the starting center to see at least 25 minutes against a depleted Warriors squad if he’s cleared to play.--Jesse Borek
