5 years agoPortland Trail Blazers center Hassan Whiteside put together his seventh straight double-double on Thursday in the 14-point loss to Minnesota. Whiteside connected on 6-for-12 shooting and actually drilled a make from three en route to 15 points while gathering 14 boards and swatting two shots in this one. He also connected on two of his three attempts at the line and with his improvement from the charity stripe this season, his value has exploded. Whiteside has been on another level and has been a top-five player over the last month.--Gianni Costantiello
