Hassan Whiteside Couldn't Clean The Glass
7 years agoMiami Heat center Hassan Whiteside didn't have his best performance Saturday against the Brooklyn Nets. Whiteside scored 14 points shooting 5-for-10 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Additionally, Whiteside had six boards and two blocks. In the two games since coming back from injury Whiteside hasn't been boxing out getting just 13 total rebounds in comparison to his season average of 11.7 per outing. The next contest for the Heat and Whiteside is the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday. The Hawks will primarily have center Dewayne Dedmon defend Whiteside. Dedmon has the 34th best defensive real plus-minus for centers in the league so Whiteside may have a bounce-back game.
