6 years agoHideki Matsuyama produced a solid four days of play at last week’s Genesis Open. Matsuyama finished the event T9 and encouragingly for the Japanese star he gained strokes in all of the significant strokes gained categories. Matsuyama’s short game was particularly impressive at Riviera, with the Japanese player gaining 3.3 strokes over the field with his short game. Matsuyama will tee it up this week at the WGC-Mexico Championship. In 2018, Matsuyama finished T25 at the event.--Gianni
