Hideki Matsuyama Has History At St. Andrews
2 years agoHideki Matsuyama comes into St. Andrews as one of the few who had success in the 2015 Open Championship. Matsuyama finished inside the top-20 in that event, T18 to be exact. Matsuyama has all of the tools to succeed at St. Andrews, as his play off the tee, and on par 4s are well above average. Matsuyama drives it well over 300 yards, and hits over 60% of fairways. With that, Matsuyama is inside the top-10 on tour in Par 4 performance. In 59 rounds this season, Matsuyama has played the par 4s at 18-under par. With 14 par 4s on the scorecard this week, being efficient on those holes will be key. In DFS, Matsuyama has a very fair, and maybe undervalued price. He should be considered in all contests.
