3 years agoThe Wyndham Championships were not kind to Hideki Matsuyama. He shot 69-69 and did not make the cut. This should not be a problem at The Northern Trust this week. Matsuyama will need to make some putts early. He sometimes gets in funks like that. His ball-striking and shot-making around the green ranks 11th at 1.268 strokes gained. The Japanese golfer does have one streaky putter. At the FedEx-WGC, that putter was hot as he fired a 63 and nearly won the tournament. Earlier in the season, Matsuyama could not make short putts at major tournaments. Which golfer shows up this week in New Jersey? It should be the former and not the latter.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
