6 years agoHideki Matsuyama produced a very encouraging display at last week's Farmers Insurance Open. Matsuyama finished the event T3, which is his best finish on the PGA Tour since 2017. All parts of Matsuyama’s game were in sync at Torrey Pines, with the Japanese man gaining strokes in all of the significant strokes gained statistics. Matsuyama will now look to take the momentum gained from last week into this week’s Phoenix Open. Matsuyama has a dominant record at the event, winning back-to-back titles over the previous two years.--Gianni
