4 years agoWith the third pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Charlotte Hornets have selected guard LaMelo Ball, who spent last season in the NBL playing for the Illawarra Hawks. In 12 games, Ball averaged 17 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game. A familiar name long before this year, Ball -- whose brother Lonzo plays for the Pelicans -- is an elite passer who can run the floor well. Shooting is an issue, but if Ball can improve on that, he has a great chance to emerge as the best player from this draft class. He might not start off the bat on a team with Devonte' Graham and Terry Rozier, but it won't be long before Ball is in this starting five.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
