Houston Rules DeMarcus Cousins Out For Monday
4 years agoHouston Rockets center DeMarcus Cousins (heel) has been ruled out for Monday's contest versus Chicago due to a sore right heel. Cousins' absence is not surprising when factoring in the recent trade speculation swirling around his name. Without both Cousins and Christian Wood (ankle) in the frontcourt, Houston figures to be rather short-handed, which opens up P.J. Tucker for minutes at the five, in addition to increasing Wendell Carter Jr.'s DFS upside without a true big to defend him. The next opportunity for Cousins to suit up comes Wednesday against the Cavaliers, although his season-long appeal is firmly up in the air until he joins a new team.
