4 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder/third baseman Hunter Dozier has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be placed on the injured list as he heads into self-isolation. This will be a sizeable loss to the Royals lineup going into the season, as Dozier slashed .279/.348/.522 with 26 home runs and 84 RBI over 139 games last year. The team added Maikel Franco in the offseason and Dozier is expected to mostly play outfield this year. With Dozier out, the recently acquired Franchy Cordero stands to benefit most and should be on the radar of all owners in AL-only leagues. Dozier, meanwhile, is a drop candidate in shallow leagues if you don't have an injured list spot available. In deeper leagues, hopefully you can keep him in an IL spot while we await further news.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
