4 years agoKansas City Royals relief pitcher Ian Kennedy was the losing pitcher in his second appearance of the year on Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers. He entered the game in the seventh inning when the game was tied 4-4 and went on to give up a solo home run from JaCoby Jones that would be the game-winning run. Kennedy was presumed to be the closer for the Royals this year, but he's yet to earn a save opportunity. The team is just 2-4 on the season, which is one factor for Kennedy's lack of saves. However, Greg Holland converted a save in the team's second game of the year, which is a bit concerning for Kennedy owners. In leagues where saves are scarce, owners of Kennedy should remain patient for now and see how a few more save opportunities develop for the Royals before hitting the panic button.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
