Ian Poulter To Rely On Short Game At Palmetto
3 years agoIan Poulter will look to ride momentum from his T3 finish at Charles Schwab a couple weeks ago into Palmetto. Poulter has put together a decent season thus far with five top-25 finishes in 15 starts. Congaree is a long course, so Poulter's lack of distance off the tee could certainly put him at a disadvantage. However, he has a tremendous short game. He ranks third strokes gained putting and seventh in scrambling. Poulter could compete this week if he continues strong play on and around the greens, but he could find himself in trouble if his ball-striking is lacking.
