5 years agoAtlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Schaub could make his first start of the season in Week 8 if starter Matt Ryan (ankle) is unable to go. Ryan, who has started 163 consecutive games, seems about 50/50 at this point. If Schaub ends up getting the nod, he could be a starter in two-quarterback leagues, as he'd be stepping into the driver's seat of an elite passing offense. The Falcons play the Seahawks this week, a team that has been among the middle of the pack in pass defense. Schaub was a perfect 6-for-6 for 65 yards and a touchdown in his limited run in Week 7 after Ryan's injury.
