3 years agoNew York Knicks point/shooting guard Immanuel Quickley has been given the green light to ramp up for a return to game action, although it's unlikely that it comes Saturday vs. Atlanta. An absence would be Quickley's fourth straight, which when combined with that of Derrick Rose (ankle), has allowed Kemba Walker to enjoy a midseason revival. Quickly is coming off having made a career-high seven threes in his last outing on Dec. 16 while averaging 12.1 points per game off the bench across eight December contests. Barring a last-minute change of heart, Quickley's next best opportunity to take the floor comes Tuesday against the Timberwolves.--Jesse Borek
