3 years agoVeteran point guard Isaiah Thomas appears to have found his new professional hoops home, as he is on track to join the Dallas Mavericks, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. Thomas had a four-game stretch with the Lakers earlier this month in which he averaged 9.3 points per game, but he shot just 30.8 percent overall. Dallas has been seeking backcourt assistance since Luka Doncic (health and safety protocols) became unavailable, with the possibility that Thomas could be in uniform as soon as Wednesday vs. Sacramento. If Thomas' role is anything like it was in L.A., he could merit some DFS GPP consideration with his propensity to find his shot, whereas he will be a season-long risk due to the volatility of his role.--Jesse Borek
