5 years agoWashington Wizards point guard Isaiah Thomas has been ruled out for Thursday’s contest versus the Philadelphia 76ers due to a strained left calf. Without him in the mix, Ish Smith figures to handle many of the point guard duties, although Bradley Beal should see his already exorbitant offensive role expanded even further. Thomas has started each of Washington’s past 14 games, with his next chance to return to the mix now coming Friday against Miami, a contest in which he can be assumed questionable at best at this time. Check back prior to tip-off to get a confirmation on his status.--Jesse Borek
