Ish Smith Drops 27 Points Off Bench In Victory
5 years agoWashington Wizards point guard Ish Smith followed up his 32-point scoring effort Saturday with another standout showing in Monday’s win over the Boston Celtics. Across his 31 minutes as a reserve, Smith shot 12-for-18 from the field, collecting 27 points, the third-highest total of his career. In addition to the scoring, he grabbed four rebounds and dished out four assists, making his case for at least short-term fantasy value as he continues to score at a personally prolific rate. He may have shifted to a bench role for the time being, but the absence of Bradley Beal (leg) has allowed him to flourish from a scoring perspective, which could continue Wednesday against Orlando should Beal remain out.
