6 years agoDetroit Pistons guard Ish Smith posted 16 points with nine assists and a steal across 28 minutes off the bench in Friday's 129-110 preseason victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Smith hit 6-of-12 from the field, including 4-of-6 from behind the 3-point line. The highlight of the evening was a fadeaway jumper at the buzzer to close the third quarter, breaking the ankles of rookie Collin Sexton in the process to make his bench erupt in joy. Despite the feel-good moment, Smith's fantasy appeal is limited to the very deepest of leagues unless Reggie Jackson is forced to the injured list at some point.--Daniel Dobish
