3 years agoCharlotte Hornets point guard Ish Smith made his first start of the season on Sunday against Atlanta and ended up having a fine game with 18 points, five rebounds, seven assists and one steal in a 130-127 win. He shot 8-for-14 from the field and 2-for-4 from downtown, giving away the ball just once in 32 minutes. Smith has taken over the starting role from LaMelo Ball, who is set to miss at least 10 days because of health and safety protocols. The veteran guard should provide some nice short-term value for fantasy managers. Smith now gets two consecutive games against the Sixers, who have been a mediocre defensive team against opposing point guards this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
