Ito Smith Effective In Passing Game
6 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Ito Smith made some impressive plays in the passing game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Smith, who rushed the ball just twice for a loss of six yards, caught three of his four targets for 41 yards, with a longest reception of 18 yards. Smith's ineffectiveness rushing the ball likely means that he will not have much of a role in the offense once Devonta Freeman returns. Smith's value going forward will be limited to games where one of Freeman or Tevin Coleman are unavailable. Even in those games he will only have value in deeper leagues. However, in dynasty leagues Smith is an interesting stash given Coleman currently has no contract for 2019.
