6 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Ito Smith did not register a rush or a catch in Thursday's preseason game against the Miami Dolphins. The fact that Smith did not do anything Thursday suggests to me that he has already made the roster as the number three running back, despite some ineffective preseason showings. With Tevin Coleman in the final year of his deal the Falcons will be looking to see if Smith can step up as a replacement. Do not expect to see much from Smith in the early part of the season but if injuries come into play then Smith could have fantasy value off waiver wires as the season progresses.--Ben Rolfe
