6 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Ito Smith failed to make an impact in the Falcons' second preseason game on Friday. Smith had the most carries among Falcons running backs with 13 rushes for a total of 34 yards. In addition, Smith failed to pull in his one target in the receiving game. Smith's struggles Friday were not all on him as the offensive line struggled to open up holes for the rookie running back. However, Smith's performance, on a night when Tevin Coleman impressed, will have not helped his claim for the backup running back spot. Smith could have really nice fantasy value if he can get above Coleman on the depth chart, or if one of the two running backs above him were to get injured.--Ben Rolfe
