7 years agoDallas Mavericks guard J.J. Barea returned from a one-game absence and dished out 13 assists in the Mavericks loss to the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night. Barea also added a team-high 19 points on 7-for-13 shooting. The veteran guard was making just his fourth start of the season. It's unclear if Barea's recent uptick in minutes will continue after the All-Star Break, as the Mavericks currently stand at 18-40 and shouldn't be giving the 33-year-old Barea major minutes at the expense of their young guards.
