J.J. Barea Drops Eight Dimes in a Start
7 years agoDallas Mavericks guard J.J. Barea started instead of Harrison Barnes (ankle) on Thursday against Golden State, playing 28 minutes and finishing with six points and eight assists. Barea went 2-for-9 from the floor and missed all five treys. The 33-year-old sharpshooter is having trouble finding the net after returning from injury, shooting with just 27.6 percent since his return. However, he's averaged eight assists per game to make up for the shooting struggles and should find his rhythm again soon. Barea has averaged 23 minutes off the bench this season, scoring 11.2 points per game and dishing off six assists.
