7 years agoDallas Mavericks point guard J.J. Barea led Dallas in scoring against the Jazz on Thursday. The veteran guard scored 23 points on 9-for-15 shooting. He went 5-for-7 from behind the arc. Barea also added eight assists and a pair of rebounds. As long as Dennis Smith Jr. (ankle) remains out, Barea is a sneaky play, but there are reports that Smith could return on Saturday against the Hornets. That would lower Barea's upside as a passer as Smith would take over the primary ballhandling duties.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
