5 years agoMemphis Grizzlies guard JA Morant lived up to the hype on Sunday when he went toe-to-toe with Kyrie Irving and his Grizzlies came out on top in the overtime win over the Nets. Morant was excellent from the floor as he connected on 13 of 22 shooting overall and drained a make from three while adding nine dimes (one of which was to Jae Crowder in overtime to seal the win), four rebounds with a block and a steal. Morant was big down the stretch making tough baskets while playing excellent defense on Irving (Morant blocked Irving at the end of regulation to force overtime). He looks primed for a big year if he can keep this going.--Gianni Costantiello
