Ja Morant Torches Spurs For Career-High 44 Points
4 years agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant was on fire Wednesday night, but could not lead his team to a victory over the San Antonio Spurs. Morant recorded a career-high 44 points on 18-for-27 shooting, including nine assists, two steals and a block in 35 minutes. What is even more impressive is Morant only recorded one turnover in this masterpiece of a box score. The "sophomore slump" rumors have already been silenced and Morant is slowly cementing himself as the league's next star point guard. Morant and the Grizzlies are off until Saturday when the face Trae Young and the new-look Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks gave the Chicago Bulls an absolute beatdown on Wednesday and could be a tough matchup.
