6 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder JaCoby Jones crushed a two-run home run to break a 1-1 tie and pull ahead of the Twins for good on Thursday. His big hit came in the seventh inning off of Twins starter Lance Lynn, who was very clearly left in the game a few batters too long. Jones has been mired in a long slump, hitting just .177/.216/.333 in the last 30 games, but he has picked up the pace over his last seven games, hitting .250/.286/.400. Jones' season slash line of .221/.266/.376 with four home runs, 16 RBIs, 25 runs scored and five steals still leaves a lot to be desired, and he can be safely be left on the waiver wire in all but the deepest of leagues.--Kyle Ringstad - RotoBaller
