Jaden Ivey Goes For Team-High 20 Points In Summer League Debut
2 years agoThe all-around skill of Detroit Pistons shooting guard Jaden Ivey was on display from Game 1 of Summer League. The No. 5 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft began his professional career with a team-high 20-point performance, adding six boards and six assists in his 32 minutes of action. While there are small things to nitpick, such as the five turnovers and five fouls, Ivey shot 6-for-14 overall -- including two makes from deep -- and made all six of his free throws. Combined with Cade Cunningham, Ivey will have an enormous impact on how successful Detroit will be throughout the '22-23 campaign. Having averaged 17.3 PPG last season at Purdue, many believe Ivey's numbers can rise with the speed of the professional game.
