6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans center Jahlil Okafor went for 14 points across 31 minutes in Wednesday's 105-99 home loss against the Denver Nuggets. He held his own against potential All-Star Nikola Jokic, hitting 7-for-15 from the field with eight rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot with just three turnovers. He did well with Anthony Davis (finger), Julius Randle (ankle) and Nikola Mirotic (calf) sidelined. Power forward Cheick Diallo also saw some added run with all the injuries, posting six points, three rebounds, an assist and a blocked shots in 17 minutes off the bench. The banged up Pellies are back in action Saturday on the road in San Antonio.--Daniel Dobish
