6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans center Jahlil Okafor will now miss Friday’s contest versus the Minnesota Timberwolves after having previously been cleared. Okafor was questionable during the day due to a left ankle sprain, but after his status was confirmed to be playing, New Orleans has walked that decision back. Anthony Davis will still figure to have his minutes monitored, so Cheick Diallo figures to potentially hawk a handful of extra minutes without Okafor in the mix. After having started each of his team’s previous nine games, Okafor’s next chance to suit up comes Saturday against the Memphis Grizzlies, an outing he should be considered questionable for following Friday’s circumstances.--Jesse Borek
