6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans center Jahlil Okafor will miss Saturday’s game versus the Memphis Grizzlies due to a left ankle sprain. Okafor had originally been cleared to play Friday before ultimately being held out, which gave hope to the fact that New Orleans was merely being cautious on the first leg of a back-to-back. Evidently, Okafor is still not ready to go, with his next chance to suit up now coming Tuesday against the Orlando Magic. Cheick Diallo figures to scoop up center minutes off the bench, but Stanley Johnson also pushed his way into the rotation Friday with New Orleans playing smaller.--Jesse Borek
