4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta (thumb) has been activated from the 10-day injured list and will start Friday's contest versus the Detroit Tigers. Arrieta has been sidelined since May 4 with a left thumb abrasion. The veteran has been pitching well in his second go around with the Cubs and is 3-3 with a 4.31 ERA. Arrieta will face a favorable matchup against the Detroit Tigers and should be considered as a streaming option. Relief pitcher Jason Adam has been optioned to Triple-A Iowa to make room for the veteran.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
