6 years agoTampa Bay Rays first base prospect Jake Bauers will join the Rays in Seattle on Thursday. Bauers is the fourth-ranked prospect in the Rays system, according to Baseball America. He has a .279 batting average, five home runs and 10 stolen bases at Triple-A. The left-handed hitter has both power and speed and has the potential to be a 20/20 threat in a full season in the majors. His strikeouts have continued to increase as he has gone through the minor league levels, which is a concern for his arrival in the majors. Bauers' potential means he should be added in most deep mixed leagues with this news. He should've likely already been stashed in AL-only and dynasty formats.--Ben Rolfe
