6 years agoTexas Rangers relief pitcher Jake Diekman has been traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks. This is the second closer that the Rangers have traded this week, after Keone Kela moved to the Pirates yesterday. Diekman has just two saves this season and a 3.69 ERA in 39 innings. For Arizona, this is the second reliever they have acquired, after adding the Marlins Brad Ziegler. Diekman figures to have a role as a middle reliever, with a set-up man role likely the best-case scenario. Either way it is unlikely that Diekman has any fantasy value during the rest of the season.--Ben Rolfe
