5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves small/power forward Jake Layman has picked up a doubtful designation ahead of Wednesday’s contest versus the Utah Jazz due to left foot soreness. Layman had a stellar outing (21 points, five rebounds) Saturday in his first start of the season versus Houston before departing Monday’s game versus Utah early with the foot injury. With both Andrew Wiggins (illness) and Josh Okogie (knee) questionable in their own right, Minnesota could be forced to play with a depleted roster Wednesday. Layman’s next best chance at suiting up comes Saturday versus Phoenix.--Jesse Borek
