Jakob Poeltl Fails To Impress During Spot Start
5 years agoSan Antonio Spurs center Jakob Poeltl received his second consecutive start in LaMarcus Aldridge's absence on Wednesday night but failed to take advantage of his opportunity. Poeltl scored four points on 2-for-2 shooting, along with eight rebounds, five assists and one block. To be fair to the 2016 first-round pick, he was going against Rudy Gobert, who many consider to be the best defensive center in the game right now. Still, it is disappointing nonetheless, especially considering his last game against the Bulls when he put up 16 points and 13 rebounds. Aldridge remains without a timetable to return, so Poeltl may get another opportunity to put up some exciting fantasy numbers against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night.
