Jalen Brunson Drops 21 Points In Game 5 Defeat
3 years agoDallas Mavericks point/shooting guard Jalen Brunson racked up 21 points on 9-for-17 shooting during his team's Game 5 drubbing. In addition to his scoring output, Brunson snagged a personal series-best seven rebounds to go along with two assists. While Brunson and Luka Doncic combined for 49 points, the rest of the Mavericks logged just 31 points, with the group shooting 38 percent as a unit overall. Dating back to the opening round series vs. Utah, Brunson has now exceeded the 20-point plateau in eight of his 11 outings this postseason, averaging 23.3 PPG on 45.9% shooting. His DFS price tag is likely to trend slightly upward, but Dallas will need his offensive contributions to stave off elimination in Game 6 on Thursday.
