Jalen Brunson Looking For Big Money In Free Agency
2 years agoFree-agent guard Jalen Brunson reportedly wants to receive a larger contract than the one Fred VanVleet signed back in 2020. As a result, any team interested in acquiring Brunson over the summer should be prepared to pay at least $85 million over the next four seasons. Unquestionably, the 25-year-old will receive more than enough offers, primarily after averaging a career-high 16.3 points in 2021-22. Rick Brunson, his father, was recently hired by the Knicks as an assistant, so it's likely New York remains in the running. However, the Mavs have Bird rights, meaning the team can pay Brunson more if he stays in Dallas.
