4 years agoCharlotte Hornets power forward Jalen McDaniels has been recalled to the active roster for Sunday's game versus San Antonio due to the absences of Gordon Hayward (back), P.J. Washington, Caleb Martin, and Cody Martin (health protocols). With Miles Bridges the only other true option to play the four, McDaniels figures to see some run Sunday, which with his DFS price tag at the bare minimum, makes him an intriguing punt play option. Earlier this year, McDaniels produced two double-digit scoring outings off of the bench before departing for the G League bubble. He'll carry some risk due to the fact that he hasn't played in an NBA game since Jan. 13, but he could carve out a niche for himself with a stretch of impressive showings.--Jesse Borek
