3 years agoThe Charlotte Hornets opted to take James Bouknight with the 11th overall selection in the 2021 NBA Draft on Thursday night. A solid playmaker and inside scorer, the UConn alumni averaged 18.7 points and 5.7 rebounds during his final season at the collegiate level. He struggled from deep, which will need to be addressed, and an elbow injury lowered his draft stock. Bouknight will also have to fight for minutes in a crowded Hornet's backcourt, but his ability on the scoring end separates him from most selected ahead of him.
