5 years agoHouston Rockets point/shooting guard James Harden took his offensive deluge to the next level during Saturday’s win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, firing up 41 shot attempts, marking the most in the league since Kobe Bryant did so in his final game on April 13, 2016. Harden made 16 of those shots en route to finishing with 49 points, shooting 8-for-22 from behind the arc. He received such an enormous share of the offensive workload due to the absences of Russell Westbrook, Eric Gordon and Danuel House, leaving him to also collect six assists and five rebounds. There hasn’t been much that has proven capable of slowing Harden early on in 2019-20 and he next gets to put his stylings on display Monday versus Portland. His DFS price tag should set a new season high, although Westbrook is expected back in the mix for the contest.--Jesse Borek
