James Harden Hits Historic Mark With 30-Point Streak
6 years agoHouston Rockets point/shooting guard James Harden etched his name into the record books with his 42-point outing during Wednesday’s loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, tying Wilt Chamberlain for the second-longest streak of finishing with 30 or more points at 31 consecutive contests. His M.O. of late has been to shoot, and shoot often, which was again the case Wednesday, as Harden finished 15-for-34 from the field, including 8-for-22 from three-point range. It was the quintessential capper on what was a historic first half of the season for Harden who enters the All-Star break averaging 36.6 points per game, far and away tops in the league, putting him on the Mount Rushmore of modern fantasy hoops performers.
