James Harden Posts Massive Double-Double In Season Opener
4 years agoFor all of the publicity surrounding Houston Rockets point/shooting guard James Harden entering his first game of the year Saturday, he more than backed it up from a statistical perspective in defeat. Harden tied his career high with 17 assists despite playing alongside a roster decimated by COVID-19 protocols, all while going for 44 points on 12-for-22 shooting, including 6-for-13 from behind the arc. Despite the turnover in the waning seconds of overtime, Harden's first showing could not be classified as anything but a whopping success through a fantasy lens. He could eventually take a step back once John Wall returns, but Monday against the Nuggets should feature another heavy dosage of Harden, which figures to wreak havoc on the DFS slate as his price tag will almost assuredly be astronomically high.
