James Harden Posts Third 40-Point Triple-Double
6 years agoHouston Rockets point guard/shooting guard James Harden scored 44 points, doled out 15 assists and grabbed 10 rebounds to go along with one steal and two blocks in Thursday's victory over the Warriors. The 31-year-old combo guard was 13 of 32 from the field, 10-for-23 from long-range, and 8-for-9 from the free throw line. He scored 18 points in the second half and then poured in 11 of the team's 16 overtime points, including the game-winning three-pointer with 2.7 seconds remaining in the extra stanza. It was his fifth triple-double of the campaign and the third one that included him topping the 40-point mark, which consisted one triple-double that involved 11 turnovers. Harden will look to top the 40-point plateau for the fifth-straight game and score at least 30 points for the 13th consecutive outing against the Trail Blazers on Saturday. The 10th-year pro tallied 29 points, four triples, four assists and one rebound in one game against Portland.
